Surfrider Barefoot Wine River Cleanup Event

Barefoot Wine and the Surfrider Foundation invite you to take part in a river cleanup on August 7 to keep Atlanta Barefoot-Friendly! Come lend a hand (or foot) then celebrate your efforts. After the River Cleanup, all volunteers will be treated to Barefoot Wine and Bubbly and tasty beach treats at Cheyenne Grill.

When: Saturday, August 7, 2010. The River Cleanup Event is 9AM to Noon. The Celebration is 4PM to 6PM.

Location for River Cleanup: Chattahoochee River Park at Paces Mill. The approximate address is 4549 Cobb Pkwy SE, Vinings, GA. (Map) (Driving Directions)

Location for the Celebration: Cheyenne Grill at 2391 Peachtree Rd NE, Atlanta, GA. (Map)

Registration: IMPORTANT: Please register at the Barefoot Wine event page here. Alternatively, you can  respond below in the comments section to let us know you are coming. We will take care of the rest. Please specify if you will be attending the Cleanup, the Celebration, or both.

Additional Information: Space is limited. Please register early. The National Park Service will be providing canoes and cleanup materials.       The main spots to paddle are Lake Lanier, Lake Alatoona, or Chattahoochee River. Email me at steve@paddleanywhere.com for more details or to rent boards. You can pick up boards from me in Smyrna or I can drop off boards for a delivery charge. Let’s paddle!
